Eligibility Criteria:

  • High school senior enrolling full-time in a two-year or four-year college or university or trade school
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (students with GPAs between 2.5 - 2.99 may be considered with strong extracurricular involvement).
  • Demonstrate Financial Need
  • Connection to a USTA Foundation NJTL chapter or other organized tennis program. Note: Priority is given to USTAF NJTL participants, but all eligible young people may apply.
The deadline to submit your application is March 15, 2026 at 11:59PM ET.

The USTA Foundation focuses on serving young people from under-resourced communities who can demonstrate a significant financial need.

This information helps us understand your financial context to make equitable decisions. Your responses will be kept confidential and only shared with the scholarship review team. If you don’t have exact figures, please provide your best estimate.

Please note: If you do not have your partent(s)/legal guardian tax returns, please estimate the Adjusted Gross Income. Proof/formal documentation of Adjusted Gross Income may be required at a later date. 
The USTA Foundation will contact you if you are being considered for an award; you will be required to provide a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application. You can find this information at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
It is recommended that you complete your FAFSA application as soon as possible.

RECOMMENDATION LETTERS
We kindly request that you submit two letters of recommendation, one from a teacher/guidance counselor and one from a tennis mentor. Please send the following link to your two referrals so they can complete the recommendation form, and return it directly to the USTA Foundation.

Please keep in mind that the Recommendation Form is a required step and should be completed by your referral no later than Feburary 22, 2026 at 11:59pm.
